Hello people of the internet! I’m Liz Krug, a student at the University of Wisconsin. I grew up in your typical small, midwestern town in Wisconsin playing in the snow banks in winter and going to waterfalls with my uncles in the UP of Michigan in the summer. Traveling has been a passion of mine since the first time my grandparents told me stories of their vacations to Europe when I was a kid and I’ve been fortunate enough to have had ample opportunity to do so in the last few years. Currently, I’m writing this from New York City.
How it all got started:
One September during high school I got a letter in the mail that I was eligible to be an exchange student the next year, naturally I jumped at the chance and after a few interviews and preparatory meetings later, I was on an airplane to Salvador, Brazil.
After staying for a year I had to go back to reality and finish high school back home in the USA and of course began college thereafter. Sophomore year I was contacted by a modeling agency in New York City via Instagram and I moved out east for about a year before returning home for my last year of college (I ran out of credits offered online, boo)
Now a days my time is spent working, writing research papers or learning coding languages, mostly javascript, to fuel a recent interest in coding and blockchain which is what lead me to Steemit!
I don’t want to write a biography but hopefully if you revisit my page you’ll learn more about me as time goes on, but in the meantime please enjoy some highlights below of my travels!
