Weekend Engagement Prompt
Prompt:
What weekend activities are you getting involved with this weekend and why? Remember to use your own photos.
Today was a rainy and cloudy day, but we really wanted to get out of the house and find something to do inside. I received a Target gift card for Christmas, so that's what we got up to today. The nearest Target is about a 40-minute drive, so we don't go there often. Usually, we shop at the Wal-Mart that is about 15 minutes away.
There were a few things on our list. I've been wanting to get a backpack for our day trips when my fanny pack doesn't hold enough. We also had to get a gift for a birthday party next weekend, so we spent some time in the toy section. One impulse buy was the Salt scented candle by Hearth and Hand candle with Magnolia. They came out with a line of fresh and subtle scents that smell really good and I think the Salt scent is tangy and fresh, but not overbearing.
After we went to Target, we went for a walk around the neighborhood. Then, it started raining for the whole day, so we stayed inside. We played with a variety of new Christmas toys, played the Candyland board game, put together puzzles, read books, and more. As relaxing as that sounds, it was still an overwhelming day because we were having some behavior issues. Now, it is still raining and I sit here with my glass of wine after Gabby went to bed. Soon, it's time for me to read and watch a Masterclass episode. Thanks for reading about my weekend, and good night!
