It's the weekend of this time of the ywar again! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms around the world!

Every year, when Mother's Day arrives, it is also my mom's birthday.

I used to get a bouquet 💐 or at least 3 stalks of carnations, but because honouring mothers has become so commercialised, it takes an arm and a leg to get a full bouquet of at least 6 of them, and then it doesn't last more than a week.

Ever since my parents moved over to stay with me, it is more practical to get a pot of roses if I notice one so that there's activity for the elderly by caring for it.

And this colour is rare to meet. Peach pink double patels when fully bloomed looks like carnations at a glance, so it becomes perfect for both Mother's Day and birthday celebration.

Not just the roses were a double celebration, the cakes have a double celebration purpose, too.

With extended family in Christ celebrating together, the unfortunate incidents that forced them to move to where I am became a blessing in disguise for my elderly to have their best sunsetting years they never experienced.

This is the one experience that, if my family is never saved, won't get to experience this either....

That is, the simple communion between family members in the kingdom of God. The unseen mental support that is gravely needed.

We must remember: no man is an Island
