Wow! Hi! I fast from 8pm to 12 midday usually. I found that I was comfortable skipping breakfast but the after dinner treats are what kills me!

The "Wow!" part made me laugh :<)

Good to know the above. Actually, since reading your post I kind of started intermittent fasting again, using the same 8 hour window you proposed here. I'm not gonna force myself to it daily though. Just as often as I can, without feeling guilty when I skip a day.

One thing I was curious of:

Do you drink coffee. And, if so, do you drink it before noon?

When I did some serious intermittent fasting ( starting two years ago ), I read that only water is allowed outside of the eating window. That's a little tough for me, especially if others around me drink coffee.

It’s also a good idea to break your fast with nuts or fruit rather than a carbohydrate. So maybe give that a try?

Good advice. I'm very much used to oatmeal, banana, raisins and some nuts and seeds in warm milk. Usually for breakfast. Might move that to a later hour, if I keep eating it at all. Or just go for nuts and fruit instead.

Sleep has been a life long issue for me. I usually wake up tired.

You might want to check out my latest post Tired of being Tired. I am about to start on a journey called "The Presence Process".

Nice to hear how you turned your life around. I tried something similar 5 years ago ( burnt out by the system ) and moved to another country. A life in crypto gave me freedom but there's still a lot of work to do, in order to experience less stress. Getting there though ;<)

One more thing... I was born 7 weeks early ( as one of twins ) and I feel I've had a tendency to over eat since as long as I remember. Nevertheless I'm 6 foot 1 and barely 70 kgs. I feel I'm eating too much though without getting the benefits of all that I eat.

Sorry for the ramble. Thought it might clarify some things.

A hug from Portugal
