Let’s have a look at my StreetArt find for today :

Artist: ESTR ~ Emmalene Blake
Title: …
Location: ”QUAY LANE” - #GALWAY #CITY #IRELAND
Work Created: for Baboró’s 25th anniversary festival in October 2021

You find her website here: Emmalene Art

Her Instagram: Emmalene Blake

Information about this mural and festival you find here: This is Galway

It says;

The aim of the project was to instill in local children an awareness of their rights, including the right to play and participate in cultural events, as well as boost pride in their community.

Input from young Galway residents informed the mural’s design. Local artist Phillida Eves invited students from Galway city centre to share how they feel about their rights, what they like to do in their free time and to imagine what life would be like without art and culture. The resulting design by Emmalene Blake was inspired by the children’s insights, reflections and drawings.

In her Instagram : Post about this mural from Emmalene
The artist writes;

A recent piece I painted in Galway city for baboro@baboro_festival. This was painted in collaboration with children of Galway and focused around the rights of the child, in particular the right to play and the right participate in cultural events.

I enjoyed incorporating some of the children’s drawings into this piece, flowing out of the book over the girl’s head. Swipe 👉 to see some of their drawings. Special shoutout to the kids who drew poop-cow and croca-sheep 👌👌🤣

When you look through her photos you see the drawings from the children she incorporated into her mural 😎

How cool is that 🤩

Let’s look a bit closer at this mural, due to obstacles you see above, I couldn’t get more straight photos but show you some different angles and close ups:

The festival…

The signature of the artist.

The other angle.

Now we look closer at the images that fall out of the book 📖

These are the drawings the children created and the artist incorporated them into her work.

I love work of arts like this, they are very meaningful. 🥰 do you?

And that’s all for todays #StreetArt post my friends. Until the next one! 👋🏻😎
Hope you enjoyed my #photos of this StreetArt find. #haveyoubeenhere
Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻 Stay tuned for more… 😉
