AI is opening up new ways of telling stories for those of us who enjoy mixing it up. I now exclusively write stories in tandem with image/animation generators. Where one influences the other is a blurry line, so I consider them part of the same process. I usually develop more illustrations than necessary for a given story, and many of them do not make the final cut for a variety of reasons. These are great pieces in and of themselves, so I thought I would share them with the alien art community.
My recent short story in the #theinkwell community, entitled All By Design, has dressmaking and tailoring as one of its themes. So, I used Stable Diffusion to generate images of a seamstress' workshop in a medieval type setting. Additionally, I prompted the software to design a dress for a princess. I hope you enjoy!
Someone who is intimately familiar with the field would likely laugh at the inaccuracy of the illustrations. But to me, they look magnifique 👨🎨
