Usually I recover quickly from not being seen and commented.

I found that subscribing, posting, and engaging with each specific community has worked for me in the past. Getting people to engage is still difficult. The InkWell, which is one of my favorite communities, has a policy that you need to comment on at least two other stories if you want to enter the challenge. This increases engagement across the board.

I don't experience you like an introvert.

Our online personas tend to be different from who we appear to be in real life. If you knew me in "real life", and you were not in my personal circle of friends, then you'll see a serious, thoughtful, and quiet man who just goes about his business (unless riled up). Those who are in my trusted circle know I'm full of mischief. 😈

Then I think I don't even know what that even means

It means I don't enjoy interacting with people for longer than 15 minutes. I can be charming and engaging for 15 minutes. That's it. After that, you're on your own 😋

I haven't read the Discovery of Slowness, but I dig the idea. I still use old style stationery like fountain pens, which in addition to slowing down my pace also engages parts of the brain not engaged in the same way by digital tools.

Let's call ourselves the last Mohawks. ;-D

Heh! I think you mean the last of the Mohicans, but Mohawks is cool too 😊
