I saw a cool looking hitch receiver cover that was a skull with L.E.D. eyes that turned on when you step on the brakes. I thought it was a cleaver idea.

You can see a similar product here: Skull with L.E.D. (Lightsplasher is not affiliated with the site.)

My hitch has gotten a bit rusty because I never use a cover. (Mine is kind of uninteresting and I forget to put it back on.) I was thinking about getting something like the skull receiver cap though because of the additional brake light. I got to thinking about other cool designs.

I don’t think anyone has done this but I thought it would be fun to have an angel design on a hitch receiver cover. The angel could be holding a red heart and have that light up when you put on the brakes.

Perhaps you could make it so that a halo illuminated too or maybe a flaming sword. Or maybe instead of a heart it could be some body armor that illuminated.

What would really be nice is if the flaming sword would light up and wave around if a moving vehicle approached from the back way too fast. That way it could warn the driver if it looked like a collision was about to happen. (Maybe by using three L.E.D. lights that cycled on and off in sequence like an old Ford taillight turn signal.)
