I lost count of how many times I failed in life. There are even certain levels of failure; like putting all your trust in someone for several years and losing everything you built with that person, to taking the umbrella out of your bag before leaving home and getting caught in a surprisingly torrential downpour on the way.

We all talk about how failure is part of our lives and how it is absolutely essential for success, but very little is said about how we handle failure. Everyone deals with it in different ways. There are many who are unable to overcome them and therefore want to make irrevocable decisions, even threatening their own lives.

We have the right to fail as many times as necessary. We should be unable as people to even think that there is no way out of the problems we face. We have the right to complain, to explode, to react impulsively or negatively, but without hurting anyone.

Failure generates empathy because once we have overcome it, we observe people around us who are going through the same difficulty we once went through and we long to help them in the most disinterested way possible.

Failure breaks pride because it allows us to make a journey at no additional cost, to place our feet on the ground; reminding us that we are not perfect and that we will always need others to complete our happiness no matter how much abundance and wealth we may have.

Nothing makes you wiser than to fail and go through hard times, to believe that you have already hit rock bottom with all that you have experienced. I can assure you that nothing will change or stop being complicated just because you are a good person, but you will have the certainty that many situations will not hurt you because you have traveled that road that seemed impassable and that in the end you will find the much desired success.

It corresponds to one of my university degrees, it does not imply success but it is something meaningful to me.
