My name is Lisa. In October 2014, I quit my job and started downsizing my life by selling and rehoming all my belongings. I officially left the States in December 2015 and have been travelling abroad ever since with everything I own fitting into a bag or two.
My first destination after leaving the States was Scotland. Fortunately, I met my husband Kuba there. He also started his minimalist journey around the same time I did, even though we didn't know each other and were living on two different continents!
We dated (mostly long-distance as I was travelling through Europe alone) and when I returned to Scotland, we got married! Kuba quit his job and we both left Scotland in May 2017 with a few bags and his guitar. And now we've been travelling together full-time.
In April 2018, we bought a Volkswagen T4 Transporter van and converted it into our first home. Now, we will start building our first tiny house in August 2019!
