The enrichment that traveling can provide goes far beyond a shift through the outer world; its action on our internal dynamics often prove to be critical towards one's personal growth and development. Not only has traveling provided novel sights to my eyes, but novel insights to my mind. Moving beyond uncomfortable and comfort zones both internally and externally can be a rich spice towards the unfolding through the journey of the human experience.

The "neurogeographic" pathways of our brains seem directly correlated with our external world. One of the easiest ways to create new brain cells and pathways is simply done by going on a trip. Stimulating our minds in this fashion act as catalyst to new brain cells and ways to engage the world at large. By seeing the world from a different perspective, we can also see ourselves internally from a different perspective also. This is a great tool for growth or even just to break away from daily routine.

Change as being an inevitable force, goes very well with travel. One of the easiest ways to change oneself is to change one's environment. I've noticed that even when I return to a previous place that I have been to, the internal perspective shift from traveling changes the way I see the "old" environment. This coincides with the adage "the map is not the territory." Our models and concepts of reality is not the reality itself, and as we travel and grow as does our consciousness and awareness of our internal and external worlds.

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
