Today I set my witness votes for the first time ever.
It is funny how many people encourage you to do so without mentioning "how" though...
◼ Just go into your steemit wallet,
◼ Click the drop down option in the top right
◼ Select vote for witnesses,
◼ Pick your witnesses, and done.
It will be interesting to see what happens next.
Personally, the main reason I set up my witnesses was to try to stop any power down changes being rushed through. It appears that the crypto exchanges made a move to back Justin Sun by staking Steem they did not own.
With that in mind,
Get your Steem off exchanges TODAY.
I wouldn't mind seeing them get in trouble for this. I am not doing this against Justin Sun though, since he seemed to be provoked by the soft fork, which was provoked by his actions, yes, so I suppose I'm not sure exactly where I stand there. Complicated in ways.
As for decentralized social media...
If it is possible, we should try for it.
Is Steem that anymore? You need to ask more of a crypto person. Heh.
Regardless, this is still my favorite social media platform at the moment. At the moment. Many things change :-)
