The world watched as two factions of Liverpool's fearsome attack Mane and Salah had a rift some weeks ago. Frustration in the Reds camp boiled over during a Premier League game at Burnley, with that outing seen as the “trigger” for an emotional outburst and a preview of more to come.
The outburst can be said to have been under works since the late stages of last season when both players were joint top scorers in the premier league and there was a sort of minor competition between them. While many saw this as a good thing and healthy competition, i saw it as a forebiding of danger. There cannot be two captains in a team and each team must have a star man, a go-to man who they depend on in hard times, Liverpool do not have that and these two have been struggling for who would fill that spot.
That competition to fill that spot will lead to more and more rifts between these two but in all these, Liverpool will be very big title contenders no doubt.
