COMING ALIVE

As we look back forty years ago or so
You can’t seem to tell what went on
Then you find the ugly truth
There are so many thoughts
Some are lies, you cannot tell what is right or wrong
You are so hurt and talk with pain
In negative games and thoughts
You’re just not aware at the time
You bounce from one extreme to the next
Trying to tell the truth but you’re scared
What will they think of you?
You find out they have been there too
You are so negative because it’s all you’ve been
You try to see the good
There is just a lot of bad
Time after time, you play a game or two
With the help you receive a good thought comes now and then
It’s time to live again
You fight to see the few days that start brightening your life
It takes time to see what life may bring ahead
Everyone works together
The games go away and we learn
The warmth of all your hearts return in time.
You love life more than you could have ever imagined
You wonder if it’s right
Or just another test
Then life becomes the brightest
For love comes alive
