I have no doubt that love is and will always be the most powerful force in the world. It was difficult for me to understand this sentence and to feel capable of accepting it. But once I discovered the powers of said feeling, it was enough to erase all the pain I had before.

You may be thinking that I knew what love really is when I was a mother, but no, I knew it a long time before, a long time before I even embraced the idea of being a mother. I found out when I fell in love with the man who was by my side for almost eleven wonderful years, my best friend, father of my son. Today that I am a mother, I only corroborate that idea; they are different loves, but just as powerful.

If I'm honest, I never went around playing "house" a lot, or with babies. Nor was I the type of girl who dreamed of weddings and prince charming, much less fantasized about love. I had a crazy, dysfunctional and toxic family, where I learned that relationships were a farce and only caused pain. But, luckily, life had to reward me by making me verify that "not all men are the same" and that "true love does exist", which has the magic of saving even what you believe is completely lost. This is how that feeling developed in me, gradually molding me until I became a key part of the woman I am today; Yes, because everything we are has a lot to do with the spirituality that has surrounded us during our lives.

My husband is no longer with us, fate plays very tricks most of the time. Despite the tremendous pain, I have come to resign myself supported by the idea that he is in a better place, full of peace and from where he cares for our son and me. He left in this world a little person who is the core and support of everything I do.

Being a mother is an experience that I live in a very particular way. I have had a lot of support from my mothers (my biological mother and my ex-mother-in-law, my late husband's mother, who is like my second mother), and I have always had it from the child's father as well. Thanks to that, I was able to continue with my professional plans, do my social service, pass many postgraduate courses, start a master's degree and carry out my literary projects.

Ahora ya estoy mejor emocionalmente y he logrado volver a establecerme.

I travel a lot for work: presentations of my books, literary events, postgraduate courses for my master's degree, etc. Especially after my husband passed away. I needed to spend as little time at home as possible. Dedicating myself to work was the escape, and although it helped to channel the pain, at the same time it distanced me from my son. I got to spend very little time with him.
Now I am emotionally better and I have managed to establish myself again. Little by little I am coping with the pain and accepting that I must move on with my life, my future and that of the child. It's just the two of us facing the world and tomorrow. We must arm ourselves with all the desire to start walking, and that desire is summed up in LOVE.

This is a path of a lifetime, a path forever. A constant learning path. My child has a special gift to scare me away from bad times, bad vibes, anguish. The light that burns in her eyes is so great, that if she opens them it dawns.
