Hello ladies 😁
How ya'll doing? 🤗
Today I wanted to write about how beauty is pain haha to be specific I would like to dive in a world of waxing.
Ahh yeah, the razor's ugly sister 😂
Waxing actually dates way back in history, in to the great palaces of Egypt itself
"Waxing originated in Egypt. In 1150 BC, it was reported that the bodies of women in Ramses III harem were smooth and hairless. It is possible that body waxing was practiced even earlier in Egypt dating back to 3000 BC. Most areas of concern were legs and underarms."
So we see waxing was practiced long before our time, there are more proofs of it
- During the Roman Empire, the lack of body hair was considered a sign of the classes.
- In Middle Ages, Queen Elizabeth 1 set a high bar, she started to wax here eyebrows
And then it stopped , In the late 18th century the first razor was made and the others follow
French barber, Jean Jacques Perret, , created the first straight razor for men in 1760 which was used by some women.
1800s- the first hair removal powder and cream
Early 1900s -In 1915, Gillette created the first razor specifically for women, the Milady Decolletée
- 1940s- Remington released the first electric women’s razor
- In 1960s waxing made it's début and it stayed with us ever since
SO WHERE ARE WE TODAY?
It seems that not many practice this painful treatment , statistic say that woman choose to buy razors and hair removal creams rather than wax, which I get because it is a less painful procedure , but that's not necessarily a good thing
Some of them are even going extra mile and getting laser treatments - but that's a whole other story
EVEN THO IT'S PAINFUL WHY IS IT GOOD?
- Waxing is removing your whole hair follicle from your skin, because you removed the root, the new one has to grew again, by removing the roots of the hairs you are thinning them out
- You can even remove them for all times, but ofc you need to do waxing more than 20 even 30 years
- Waxing can also help people who have hairiness disorder
- It's natural way of removing hairs
MY OPINION
Even tho I'm a beautician I use waxing on myself only in summer , so I don't get little spider legs every two days from shaving
Other seasons I'm shaving
I can endure pain, but I ain't a mach for waxing
I don't mind if anyone is waxing or shaving because I do both haha
Hope you like my bee sticky post 🐝
