I chuckled a little when I see "code"...as someone who codes as a hobby it's pretty relatable. And it's real that the lesser you expect, the higher the chances for you to actually do something notable. Not sure what's the psychological logic for this, but it's indeed like that for most of the times lol.

People always underestimate what they can do in a year, and overestimate how much they can do in day.
