This was her breakfast :-) I thought she had left, but she had just moved into the other room to be alone!

When 4 kittens appeared on our carport roof a couple of years ago I had no idea that they would turn into a big family!

Charcoal is one of the two remaining ones, Lily got killed in a furniture accident and Tong probably left to start his own family, male cats should of course do that :-)

It has been fascinating to watch their development, they are like people really, and they do process and think about things way more than many think.

Both Charcoal and Tiger experienced bad things early on, which is why they are alive now I think. Tiger had half her right front paw bitten off by our dog, and I took care of that wound for months. She is very close to me, but also very aware that there are dangers out in the world, as well as opportunities!

Charcoals story is that she was attacked by a big cat when she was tiny, it might even have been her father. If that was the case he actually did her a service, she is fit to survive even with a jungle like area close to the house.

Later on she was lost after hiding inside a car in the family, but she found her way back. I spent a long day taking care of her, she was meowing literally every second, until she flopped on her back and let me take care of her hehe.

The past couple of days I have fed her alone in a separate room, she has really enjoyed that. She will often grumble and growl even while eating, to keep the others away, but today she was really happy and relaxed!

I could go on for hours describing her, as well as especially Tiger, they are real personalities :-)

That's it for now!
