I stared out my window blankly, not knowing what to do at the moment. That's when I noticed the reflection of Cody in front of me. He was staring at me. I turned around and he looked away.

I started to laugh. And after a second I was on the ground, laughing my ass off. Cody was really red right now. He was really confused. "What?" He asked, trying to fix his hair if there was something wrong with it. I just laughed more.

"Are you okay?" He asked pretty amused. I shook my head and laughed more. And that's when I sensed that black car. I immediately froze. It was coming closer.. They must've realized that no one had died. I got up and grabbed Cody's hand, pulling him into a corner.

"What's.. going on..?" He said noticing the very troubled expression on my face. And thats when we heard tires screeching. Cody got what was going on. He wasn't gonna try and ask how I knew it before it happened. He realized that I had no idea.

I could feel my heart pumping. I had no idea what to do. I grabbed Cody's hand thinking it would make me feel better in some way knowing he was there. He squeezed my hand.

And before I knew what was going on, some guy smashed through my window. He had on a black coat and black shades. He had a really bulky body and a strong grip on the gun in his hand. I yelped at the sight.

He lunged at us but I grabbed Cody and dodged in lightning speed and ended up behind him. Whoa, didn't know I could do that... He immediately turned and shot at Cody. The first thing I thought of was protecting him, and surprised him as I stood in front of him and wrapped my arms around him. The bullet hit my back.

Pain in 3..2..1.. I felt no pain. I waited a couple seconds before realizing no bullet had pierced my back. Instead it had bounced off. I turned and saw the man frozen. The confidence in his face had drained. He shot again and Cody wanted to move me out of the way, but I was still tightly wrapped around him.

The bullet shot at me and bounced off, falling to the ground. The man was pale, frozen in shock and all he could think was to fire until his gun ran out of bullets.

Not seeing what else he could possibly do to win here, he gave up and jumped out the broken window. The man ran to his car and sped away.
