The man in black ran to the car and barely got in as it sped away. "I got them." He said quite proudly. "They weren't expecting a thing." The man in the driver's seat took this in. "How many bullets did you shoot, Jason?" "Just one" Jason replied with full confidence that it was what he was supposed to do. "No need for more than one."

The man in the driver's seat was shocked by this. "I don't know why they put you into this." He grumbled. "Was the boy alone?" This question made the hairs on Jason's neck stand up. He realized what he had just done and how absurd it was! "Um, well, actually sir... There was a girl in there too... I shot right above her head..." He said weakly.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" That had certainly gotten his attention. "Did you shoot him in the head?!" "Um, yea." Jason said, not very sure what was right or wrong anymore. "Well, at least he has a better chance of dieing now. But the girl, she probably went to call for help, or perhaps saw you." The man in the driver's seat pulled the breaks and turned around in his seat to look at Jason. "You have failed your test." He said seriously and with hint of evil in his voice.

Jason was terrified. He never imagined to fail, the task seemed easy. Follow the boy and shoot him when he's least expecting it. As far as he knew, he had done everything asked of him. But he had screwed up. And now he was going to pay...

The man in the front seat pulled out his gun and pointed it at Jason's head. "My name's Kevin." He said with a low and deep voice. "You got some guts working with me kid, but I don't keep fails like you." Jason stared whide-eyed at the gun. "Please, I'm sorry." He begged. "I swear, I'll never fail you again. I'll do anything! I'm begging you, please." Tears started rolling down his cheeks as he realized someone as cold-hearted as Kevin would never let him live.

"I'm not sorry, kid." He said with a smug smile as he shot the silencing bullet. Jason's dark eyes slowly closed as he fell. "Heh. Now I have to go fix this guy's problem." Kevin turned the car and drove back the way he'd come hoping it wasn't too late and the kids hadn't told anyone yet.
