We had fun today playing an eighteen-hole disc golf course. I played well with only a few errors. I ended up with the win with a +2 to +9, +12, and +26 scores.
I also made some plans to get some solar panels installed on the roof. It is a big investment, but it sounds like it will pay off in five years or so. It is hard to know what will happen, but it sounds like electricity prices are going to increase a lot.
This way, I have most of my needs taken care of from sunlight hitting the roof. Car, refrigerator, heating, cooling, freezer, washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. The only thing that still uses gas is my hot water heater and emergancy heater that only comes on if it gets too cold for the heat pump.
Maybe the next thing to get when it becomes available would be a two-way car charger that would let the car battery be used as an emergancy generator if the power grid goes down. The solar panels cut out if the grid goes down so they can not be used as backup power.
