I played an eighteen-hole disc golf round with a couple of friends today. I lost by one throw. I think I was still a bit tired out from the tournament this weekend. Somehow, that kind of playing tires me out more than a casual round or two. It is mentally a lot more tasking.
It was cooler this morning and a bit dry feeling around here. I was having some issues with the early release of the disc. It seems like I have this issue when the disc and my hands dry out too much. Sometimes, when it is colder, I breathe on the disc to put some moisture on it, and that helps a bit. It was warm enough today that I didn't try this trick.
I just got a new Whale Sack at the last tournament that is supposed to be helpful for grip issues. I think it is designed more for getting moisture off of your hands when you're sweaty. That's not the problem I'm having, but I might try it out next time to see if rubbing my hand on it helps any.
