I played an eighteen-hole practice round of disc golf today. I didn't keep track of the score, but in hindsight, I wish I had. Sometimes it is nice not to keep score though because if you find yourself in the rough you can take some relief without worrying too much about scoring correclty.
Doggie kept me company on the round, and I think he enjoyed it a lot. Some people wanted to take him home with them.
I was showing a new player where all the holes were, and we enjoyed playing together. He was a good player, and we did not have much trouble looking for discs. That was good because he was from out of the region and most likely would not have been able to get his disc back if he lost it.
I almost lost my disc retriever tool. I left it where I used it last between the basket of hole ten and hole eleven's tee pad. I talked to some people who said they saw it there, so I walked straight there but when I got there, it was gone. I knew I should have walked back through the holes just in case someone picked it up, but that would be a much longer walk. I turned back around and talked to some people on hole sixteen, and they said the folks behind them had picked it up. When I talked to those people, they said they left it on hole thirteen or fourteen by a post. There are a few posts around there, so I walked back through the course looking for it. I finally found it near twelves tee pad.
I was really happy to get it back, but Doggie was undertandably aggrivated with me. I almost had to pick him up at one point. I think he had a lot of fun, though!
