It was a fun round today out on the disc golf tournament. We played the red course off the green tees. The good news is that I managed to win the division by playing an 847-rated round.
I also got my lost pink Instanity disc back that I had lost recently. We played the blue course after we were done with the tournament round and the folks playing in front of us found the disc. I was really happy to get it back.
The bad news is that later on in the round on the blue course I through my Mantra disc into a big pile of branches. They have been working on the course and there were a lot of cut branches piled up by the side of the fairway.
The Mantra disc flies pretty understable for me. It turned too much on a forehand throw and did not fade back. It wasn't the best throw but most of the more stable discs that I usually throw would not have ended up in the big pile of branches. I wanted to get a little extra distance throwing uphill but misjudged how stable the Mantra would fly. This is the second Mantra disc that I have lost recently and I just bought the one I lost last Sunday. I like the disc but I am beginning to wonder if it might be a bit too understable for my typical use. Hopefully, I will get at least one of them back.
Looking out by the side of hole one on the gold disc golf course:
We didn't play this course today but I took this picture walking towards the blue course.
Taken out on the blue course today:
It was starting to rain harder when I took this.
