My son and I played a round at our favorite eighteen basket disc golf course around noon today. The wind was really blowing hard but the weather was nice and sunny.
I won the round with a +3 score and my son was having a really tough time. He ended up losing a disc in the river.
I found a disc in the middle of the fairway on hole five. It is nice semi-beat in Star Wraith with no name or number on it. I like these discs a lot although I've been bagging a Sword disc that does just about the same type of throws. The Star Wraith I found is just a bit more stable than the Pro Wraith that I have and might make a good headwind fighter (the Sword is not great in a strong wind but it might be better than my lighter Pro Wraith). For now it has bumped my lighter weight Emperor disc out of the bag - I think it will handle the same throws but fight a headwind better but I will need to see.
It is really tough to figure out what to carry in the bag when you have so many good discs to choose from. I'm really tempted to put the Emperor back in and just carry twenty three discs.

This picture was taken right by the infamous hole eight. The left to right wind got under my son's forehand throw and it went into the river. He was down below wading around looking for it when I took the picture. Unfortunately he did not find it but it might show up if the water level goes down again.
