I played a practice round out at my favorite disc golf course today. It was kind of windy and I scored a +5.
I had a bit of an issue on hole two and scored five strokes on a par three. I usually can birdie this hole.
I was really worried about hitting a person or his dog so I waited a long time on the tee. There was another group of people playing on hole one and I knew they would catch up to me soon.
The person was behind a tree from my view but he came out briefly. I could see his dog running around near the basket. It seemed like he moved on but I wasn't sure for sure and was about to throw when I saw him again.
Waiting some more...
It finally seemed like he was at least going to keep covered behind the tree so threw my disc. I was still a bit worried about either the dog or the person running out from behind the tree while the disc was in mid flight.
So I hit the tree with the disc. Not exactly intententionally but I wanted to make sure it would be safe from hitting someone. I could have made par from the lie but my second throw hit the cities sign and went out of bounds into the parking lot, lol.
Oh well. I'm glad I was just playing by myself and not scoring a round with other players. I think I would have gone down to talk to the dog walker if that were the case. (Just so he knew what the issue was.)
Today's photo - I spy with my little eye a white boat fishing on the river:
(I had to stare at this one a while after I modified the photo in GIMP.)
