I played a round and half of disc golf by myself today on my favorite eighteen basket course. I felt like I was throwing pretty well and had fun playing with a couple of new discs and my usual discs.
Right in the middle of the fairway near basket thirteen I ran across a Champion Boss disc. It was a cool looking multi-colored disc, kind of like the Daedalus disc that I like a lot and almost lost recently. (A friend of mine found it in the river and gave it back to me. Hole eight problems, LOL.)
I called the number on the disc and told the person where I had found it. They had no clue where the course was. We both figured someone else had found it before and was playing with it and left it on the course. They said I could have the disc if I could throw it.
"Nice!" I said and thanked them a lot for the disc.
I really like these beat in discs. The plastic gets nice and grippy after it is used for some time and a really over stable disc like the Boss gets a bit easier to throw and more flippy.
I tried it out and it is a really nice disc. Not a full weight driver but just about perfect for me. I recently lost a full weight Champion Boss disc on hole eight so this was a perfect replacement.
Hopefully I will have better luck with this disc and can keep it out of the river. I like these heavier Boss discs much better than my light weight Blizzard Champion Boss disc. I could never throw that one too well. I think it was mainly because it was such a different weight than what I am used to.
This photo was taken on the disc golf course this morning:
Note the new to me discs. Here's a close-up of the new Boss disc:
I got this nice award from the Fitbit app today:
The Fitbit app award was slightly embellished in software for some added light effects.
