On this occasion, I would like to share with you everything there is to know about the historical and religious artefacts housed in the Obispo Lasso Museum in Maracaibo.** El museo de artesacro en la ciudad de Maracaibo, situado justamente al final de la calle Carabobo, en el casco histórico de la ciudad, nos brinda un espacio de gran talla religiosa, así como también de ornamento sagrado y toda la indumentaria del sacro es grandioso ver cómo en su interior, se encuentra tanta historia de gran valor y uno de ellos es la silla en donde se sentó San Juan Pablo II, cuando vino a visitar nuestra ciudad de Maracaibo justamente en el año 1985, ¿cuándo este fue? A celebrar la misa justamente en la ciudad universitaria podemos ver cómo se encuentran estas 2 sillas papales que se las profundizaré a continuación. >The Museum of Sacred Art in the city of Maracaibo, situated right at the end of Carabobo Street in the city’s historic centre, offers us a space of great religious significance, as well as sacred artefacts and liturgical vestments; it is truly magnificent to see how, within its walls, there is so much history of great value, and one of these is the chair where Saint John Paul II sat when he came to visit our city of Maracaibo in 1985. When was that? Pero lo más resaltante de este es que su interior posee la silla. ¿En dónde estuvo sentado San Juan Pablo II justamente en su única visita a la ciudad de Maracaibo en 1985. >On arriving at the museum of sacred art, the curator who is the director, Egle Ahumada—gave us a tour, explaining in detail each of the rooms and what they contained. Cabe destacar que podemos encontrar en el museo de artesacro 2 sillas papales, una de ellas se encuentra ubicada en otra sala puesto que era la primera silla que iba ser utilizada por San Juan Pablo II, pero él se negó a usarla, porque era muy lujosa entonces, decidió por una segunda opción una silla menos grande y más modesta que está la que podemos encontrar justamente metida en un vitirinal a cada lado de esto podemos ver el escudo del Vaticano, así como cada una de las vestimentas sagradas ornamentales que utilizó San Juan Pablo II en ese día. >It is worth noting that the Museum of Sacred Art houses two papal chairs; one of them is located in another room, as it was the first chair intended for use by Saint John Paul II, but he refused to use it because it was too luxurious at the time; he opted instead for a second choice a smaller, more modest chair which is the one we can see displayed in a glass case.
