Lyrics that touches my heart.

Choosing two musics to talk about in this regards is a very hard task for me, the reason being that, as a lover of Reggae music, the list of the songs that shape my thoughts and life in general is endless. Taking the part of the world that I come from into consideration and my personal experiences while growing up, I chose to talk about these two songs.

Right from when I was young, I've come across some times of my life that worrying took the huge part of my existence. Managing it became a task. Right from when I finished my high school and was applying to have my degree without success to some other times where as little as feeding and clothing when in the University got me worried, I have always be an emotional person that is easily broken down with the thoughts about things I can't change. Along the line, I started listening to reggae music and top among such songs is "don't worry, be happy".

He practical mentioned all the things that got me worried in the song. As a result, whenever I am down, I listen to the song. When I finished University and was finding it hard to get a job, I listened to the song and created my own happiness for myself believing that worrying won't get me a job. I later crossed the huddle. When my girlfriend of years left me because she believed that my menial job could not carter for us to get married and she didn't have hope in me getting better job soon, instead of getting worried, I created happiness for myself believing that worrying won't solve the problem. I was heartbroken but I overcame it with the beautiful lyrics of Bobby in this song.

I am still a lover of the song and it continue to teach me not to worry about any challenge. I will rather be happy and sort for solution. Listen to the song;

Anytime I see children in the street till this moment, I remember this song that questioned the rationale behind bringing a child to the world without plan of taking good care of him or her. The question according to Dube is, why do the children have to go through such if they have parents.

Any opportunity I have, I talk to the people around me to see the idea of bringing a child to the world without planning for his care as a punishment to the child. With consistent orientation by individuals and non governmental organizations, there is gradual reduction in the population of children in the street.

The message of Lucky Dube is still very valid especially to us in Africa. With the increase in the rate of crime and criminals, we need to uphold this call to stop breeding children and sending them to the street. Listen to the song;
