There is one thing I have come to understand on this life鈥檚 journey: not everything that has ever hurt me must be carried along as a reason to stop moving forward. Not every failure needs to be a story I keep retelling, and not every part of the past deserves to occupy such a significant space in my life today. For no matter how far I have traveled, life always offers the chance to begin anew; as long as I am still breathing and time keeps moving, there will always be a possibility to mend things and create a better life.
Today, I am slowly beginning to make peace with myself. I no longer wish to spend so much time questioning why life was once so difficult, why certain plans didn鈥檛 unfold as expected, or why my own journey has felt far more exhausting than the paths others have taken. I have come to realize that every human being has their own unique story: some seem to reach their dreams with ease, others must navigate winding, arduous roads, and some even have to lose a great deal before they can rediscover the direction of their lives.
Perhaps I am among those who had to learn through many trials before truly grasping the meaning of struggle. There were times when motivation felt entirely out of reach when waking up in the morning was no longer about embracing hope, but simply about getting through the day. There were moments when my mind was consumed by questions, yet the answers I sought never arrived. But now, I no longer wish to remain in that state.
I want to rise.
Not because all my problems have been solved, nor because my life has suddenly become perfect. I want to rise because I realize that no one else can take full responsibility for my future. While it is fine to hope for support or wish for someone to offer encouragement, the first step must ultimately come from within myself.
I do not want to wait for life to become easy before I start moving; I do not want to wait for every circumstance to align in my favor before I dare to make a decision. If I keep waiting for the "perfect" moment, I risk missing out on countless opportunities that could be seized today.
I am convinced that a better life must be reached for not merely waited upon.
I want to keep this thought in mind whenever laziness creeps in, whenever doubt tries to take hold of my thoughts, and whenever the past attempts to pull me back to where I once was. I must understand that change does not always begin with a grand leap; sometimes, it starts with small decisions, carried out consistently. Improving habits, learning something new, keeping the mind healthy, managing time better, and having the courage to try again despite past failures.
I want to grow into someone more mature in facing life someone not easily swayed by circumstances, not overly preoccupied with comparing my own achievements to those of others, and no longer reliant on the judgments of others as the primary measure of my happiness. I aspire to possess a sense of inner calm that cannot be easily stolen by external events, and a conviction that does not crumble simply because the journey becomes difficult.
I also want to learn to value the process, for I have too often viewed life solely through its final outcomes. I have always longed for immediate success, instant change, and an immediate arrival at a better place. Yet, everything that grows requires time; no tree towers high the moment its seed is planted, and no flower blooms the instant it touches the soil. Everything needs to take root, receive sufficient water and sunlight, and crucially endure the changing seasons with patience.
The same is true for me.
I do not need to become extraordinary overnight; I only need to be better than I was yesterday. If today I can only take a small step forward, that is perfectly fine. As long as I do not give up and remain focused on my path, even the smallest step will always hold meaning.
I want to stop blaming circumstances for everything I have yet to achieve. I want to focus more on taking action than on complaining, more on learning than on acting as if I know it all, and more on self-improvement than on finding fault in others. I want to build a life that is not merely good on the surface, but one that also brings peace to my own soul.
I do not want my success to be something I simply show off to the world; rather, I want it to serve as proof that someone who once felt lost can still find their way back to their hopes that someone who once hit rock bottom still has the chance to build a more beautiful life. It should show that a difficult past does not have to dictate how the future unfolds.
If, one day, I succeed in achieving the things I have long dreamed of, I want to look back on this journey with deep gratitude. I want to remember that there were days when everything felt incredibly difficult, yet I chose not to give up. I want to remember the times when hope felt so faint, yet I still fought to keep it from fading away.
From now on, I want to give myself greater opportunities to grow, to try, to fail without hating myself, and to enjoy happiness without feeling guilty about the past.
I want to bloom in my own way, without the need to rush to keep pace with someone else鈥檚 season, and without feeling left behind just because another person has reached their destination first. Every flower has its own time to bloom, and in the same way, every human being follows a unique journey that cannot and should not be compared to anyone else鈥檚.
I will keep moving forward, even if slowly; I will keep learning, even if I sometimes have to start over from the beginning; and I will keep striving for my dreams, even when things do not always go according to plan.
This time, I will not use difficulties as an excuse to give up. Instead, I will embrace them as part of a journey that shapes me into someone stronger and happier.
There is no other choice but to rise, grow, and bloom. I do not want to remain someone who is only good at talking about how hard life is. I want to reach a point where I can share the story of how I successfully navigated it all how I rebuilt my hope and how I discovered happiness in a life I forged for myself.
