This post will just be a short one as I just need to record these important observations regarding the source battery as it runs.
Immediately after last post #53 as I discussed about the addition of a DC voltage for augmentation, I placed the source battery in a mode so as to deplete it totally, no swapping. I told myself what really is the limit as far as run time is concerned,
These observations will certainly add to the thrill of these experiments:
The source battery ran for more than 2 days, on the third day, about the 50th hour the LED bulb stopped flickering which can only mean the circuit had stopped operating
By the time the circuit stopped running, the source battery total voltage is about 3 volts to 4 volts above the huge charge battery; the charge battery being about 13 volts and the source batteries about 16 volts
The backup battery was fully charged during the 2 days run
Here is the most interesting fact, because now that we know that the source battery will run for a little bit more than 48 hours, we have also known during our source battery swap tests that the battery being charged as backup will be charged in 2 to 3 hours.
So 48 hours run time for every 4 hours charge time; this is our source battery here.
Really amazing facts that merits this short post #54, are these posts really “undeletable” once written?
