I asked myself whether employee recognition programs are beneficial for companies to offer their employees? Most people would say, "Of course, why not?". But based on how companies plan them all out, are they doing something wrong? To me, I feel mixed about it, but there are definitely pros and cons of various types of recognition programs. I believe companies need to take a step back and make sure they listen to their employees and do it more on an individual basis.
Is employee recognition proper or not? You decide.
