Within the last week, Hurricane Dorian has moved into Florida and now headed into Georgia than to the Carolinas. On a side note, my thoughts go out to those who are impacted and wish the best for their safety.

Notably, the media has given wall-to-wall coverage of the hurricane. As I’ve observed, the press acts more like mainstream entertainment instead of being objective and honest in its news coverage. Unfortunately, the cable news networks will not cover human-made crises until they have arrived and become a huge story. Whether it’s government meddling in economic or foreign affairs or other illegal activities, the media will ignore these kinds of cover-ups that matter more to their viewers.

I can’t imagine what the media coverage will be like once the next financial crisis hits in the United States. I believe it’ll be non-stop coverage for weeks or months in the aftermath. Since they won’t cover it now, most Americans will be unprepared when the crisis hits. It shows that the media is biased toward the state, and they will never present stories in an honest, ethical manner. Hurricane Dorian (and all other significant hurricanes) is nothing compared to what the next financial crisis is going to bring. The future economic crash will feel like a Category 5 hurricane event, with severe impacts on the standard of living for many people around the world. It’s not a matter of if but when it’ll happen, and it’s going to get ugly before it’s better.

If you’re reading this in 2019, there still is time to prepare for the financial crisis. But time is running out, so make and act now.
