Economic cycles are inevitable in the modern economic system. In fact, they are a characteristic feature of modern financial and economic systems. There are periods of boom and slowdown. During booms, our wealth increases, while during slowdowns, we lose a significant portion of it. Many people suffer financially in this process. Therefore, a smart strategy is needed to protect ourselves from such outcomes.
At present, our entire system is in a transitional phase. Traditional financial tools and economic systems are changing. We are witnessing wars that are disrupting global supply chains. In particular, the crude oil crisis caused by conflicts in the Middle East is making it very difficult for many countries to secure adequate supplies of oil. Crude oil is the lifeblood of the modern economy. Without it, our supply chains and manufacturing systems would be severely affected. In India, we are already witnessing some of these challenges. Although tensions between the United States and Iran have influenced global markets, countries that are not directly involved are experiencing economic consequences. Our currency has weakened and there are concerns that economic difficulties may arise sooner or later.
The US dollar still dominates the global currency market. However, concerns about rising debt levels and economic policies have may lead to potential financial instability. There is a fear of a major crisis which is comparable in scale to past economic downturns. Coincidentally, these risks are taking place nearly a century after the Great Depression of 1929. In times of severe economic stress, currencies can lose value, banks can fail and economies can experience significant disruptions. Therefore, it is important to explore ways to prepare for economic uncertainty.
In my view, individuals should consider investing a portion of their wealth in gold and maintaining some exposure to cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies may provide an alternative source of liquidity when traditional financial systems face disruptions. Gold is generally regarded as a safe haven asset, although it is often less liquid than cryptocurrencies for immediate transactions. In situations requiring urgent transfers of funds, cryptocurrencies may offer certain advantages.
Fortunately, the price of Hive has risen somewhat recently. Whether this marks the beginning of a sustained recovery is difficult to say. If Hive's price continues to increase and stabilizes over time, it could be very good news for Hive investors. Then we can use as a weapon to fight against the future uncertainty.
