Mirror, Mirror...
A few months ago I built a teleidoscope out of mirror foil. It works well so far, but it is mechanically quite unstable. So I can't take it out into the wild. However, a teleidoscope made of mirror glass is also not very suitable for transport. So I ordered mirrors made of acrylic glass and built a teleidoscope out of them. I glued the three parts together with acrly glue. This stuff stinks disgustingly, although it is organic quality. Or what do the symbols on the tube mean? 馃
Vor einigen Monaten habe ich ein Teleidoskop aus Spiegelfolie gebaut. Das funktioniert so weit auch gut, allerdings ist das mechanisch recht instabil. Ich kann das also nicht mit in die freie Wildbahn nehmen. Ein Teleidoskop aus Spiegelglas ist allerdings ebenfalls nicht sehr gut f眉r den Transport geeignet. Also habe ich Spiegel aus Acrylglas bestellt und aus diesen ein Teleidoskop gebaut. Dazu habe ich die drei Teile mit Acrlykleber verklebt. Dieses Zeug stinkt widerw盲rtig, obwohl es Bio Qualit盲t ist. Oder was bedeuten die Symbole auf der Tube? 馃

Bei der Verarbeitung sind vermutlich einige meiner Gehirnzellen abgestorben. Ich bitte also um Nachsicht, wenn ich wirres Zeug schreibe.
I had placed the three pieces in the right position on the table. After a few minutes of fiddling, they were in the right position. I then dripped the glue onto the edges from above. This is quite thin and ran downwards. Now I just had to be careful not to bump against the table until the glue had hardened.
Ich hatte die drei Teile in der richtigen Position auf den Tisch gestellt. Nach einigen Minuten Gefummel standen sie richtig. Ich tropfte dann von oben den Kleber an die Kanten. Dieses ist recht d眉nnfl眉ssig und lief nach unten. Nun musste ich nur noch darauf achten, nicht gegen den Tisch zu sto脽en bis der Kleber ausgeh盲rt war.
Along the way, I had glued some colourful glittery stuff made of acrylic and glass with the beautiful stinky glue. I then put this lump in front of the small opening of the teleidoscope. I then illuminated it in different positions with one or two torches from different directions. I used the Emisar D4V2 and the Wurkkos WK40. I will write a review of the latter in the next few days. The WK40 is a torch with 4 LEDs (white, red, blue and green). I photographed this with the Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 17-35/2.8. I will make tests with some other lenses in the next days. I'm not really satisfied with the results yet. Actually, the teleidoscope with its length of only 140 mm is too small to take clean, sharp pictures. But a larger teleidoscope is more difficult to transport.
Nebenbei hatte ich dann noch buntes Glitzerzeugs aus Acryl und Glas mit dem sch枚nen Stinkekleber verklebt. Diesen Klumpen packte ich dann vor die kleine 脰ffnung des Teleidoskops. In verschiedenen Positionen beleuchtete ich das dann mit einer oder zwei Taschenlampen aus verschiedenen Richtungen. Ich habe die Emisar D4V2 und die Wurkkos WK40 verwendet. Zu letzterer werde ich in den n盲chsten Tagen ein Review schreiben. Bei der WK40 handelt es sich um eine Taschenlampe mit 4 LEDs (wei脽, rot, blau und gr眉n). Fotografiert habe ich das mit der Nikon D750 und dem Nikkor 17-35/2,8. Ich werde in den n盲chsten Tagen Versuche mit einigen anderen Objektiven machen. So richtig zufrieden bin ich noch nicht mit den Ergebnisse. Eigentlich ist das Teleidoskop mit nur 140 mm L盲nge zu klein um saubere, scharfe Bilder zum machen. Aber ein gr枚脽eres Teleidoskop kann ich schlechter transportieren.
In the last two pictures, I had also placed a piece of glass in the teleidoscope.
Bei den letzten beiden Bildern hatte ich zus盲tzlich ein Glasteil in das Teleidoskop gelegt.
