Holozing: Focus on ZING Market Value and Alpha Vials!

Updated APR and Break-Even Calculations

Today I return to write about Holozing which is one of the projects under development that I follow with interest.

If you don't know Holozing you should know that it is a Hive-based project of a Pokemon-style RPG game (Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game).

It has been more than four months (5 May 2025) since my last post about Holozing.
I don't post content frequently on my Hive blog because the game is in development and since I can't play the game yet, I have little useful information and calculations to write about.
Although Holozing is not a recurring topic on my Hive blog I am still very interested in this project for several reasons:

I like the idea behind the game and there are no games of this type on Hive
the founder of the game is a Hiver with a very good reputation on Hive

Personally, I really liked what the founder @acidyo wrote in this post Influencer shilling & some zing thoughts which I summarise in the following points:

no payments to influencers or artificial shilling.
no tokens printed out of thin air for marketing or partnerships.
no selling of the project.
no abandonment of the project: keep it going even in difficult times.

These statements by the founder of Holozing strengthen my trust in this project even more.

At the current stage of development of Holozing, the assets that can be bought and sold are two:

the ZING tokens (Holozing's native tokens that will have many in-game use cases.
the Alpha Vials = the starter packs of Holozing that are currently not openable and will contain almost everything you need to play (except the Healers).

The way ZING tokens are distributed has changed over time.
Currently 800K ZING tokens are distributed per day:

Hive Power Delegation: 200K ZING per day
ZING Staking: 20K ZING per day
Liquidity Pool: 80K ZING per day
Alpha Vials: 495K ZING per day
Achievements: 5K ZING per day

In the Rewards section of Holozing you can see the APR of the ZING token distribution methods except for Alpha Vials and Achievements.

Therefore, exactly as I have done in my previous posts, today I have calculated for 1 Alpha Vials purchased:

the daily gain in ZING, in SWAP.HIVE and in dollars
the APR based on the market value (Highest Bid) of the ZING token
the calculation of the time required to reach the breakeven point

The variations in the time interval 5 May 2025 - 13 September 2025 (131 days) are:

Compared to 5 May 2025, the APR of 1 ALPHA VIAL has decreased but is still the highest APR among the distribution methods:

Alpha Vial: APR 57.97%
Liquidity Pool: APR 43.28%
HP Delegation: APR 5.52%
ZING Staking: APR 3.20%

Regarding the ZING token, today 13 September 2025:

HIVE: -0.034$ = -13.71%
ZING (Highest Bid Value): -0.0002791$ = -53.38%
ZING (Lowest Ask Value): -0.0002926$ = -54.14%

IMPORTANT NOTE

The current distribution of 495K ZING per day calculated based on Alpha Vials sold is temporary because when Alpha Vials can be opened, the distribution of ZING tokens will only be based on the items contained in the Alpha Vials according to their rarity.

My investment strategy on Holozing

Regarding my investment on Holozing I have:

8 Alpha Vials
4 Achievements
23K ZING staked
202982 ZING in the pool ZING:SWAP.HIVE
153.5 Holo Dust

My current strategy is very focused on the liquidity pool ZING:SWAP.HIVE:

I periodically unstake my staked ZING
I convert 50% of my liquid ZINGs into SWAP.HIVE
I add the remainder of my liquid ZINGs and the SWAP.HIVE that I received using the SWAP functionality into the ZING:SWAP.HIVE pool

I chose this strategy because it is prudent but not too prudent:

converting half of the ZINGs into SWAP.HIVE protects me from sharp declines of the ZING token
when ZING drops in value I accumulate more ZING and being interested in the project it is an effect that is good for me even if I lose something as a result of the impermanent loss
the daily rewards in ZING tokens help compensate the impermanent loss
the APR is interesting and is much higher than staking and delegations in HP.

In summary my strategy does not maximise the gain but reduces the risk and I can remain exposed to ZING in a more manageable way.

In the worst-case scenario = if ZING were to go to 0, I would be at a loss because the arbitrages would empty the portion in SWAP.HIVE and only ZING of value 0 would remain, but in the event of gradual declines I would be more protected due to the fees and rewards in ZING compensating for part of the losses.

Focus sul valore di mercato di ZING e sugli Alpha Vials! Calcoli dell'APR e del Punto di Pareggio

Oggi ritorno a scrivere su Holozing che è uno dei progetti in fase di sviluppo che seguo con interesse.

Se non conosci Holozing devi sapere che è un progetto Hive-based di un gioco RPG stile Pokemon (Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game).

Sono passati più di quattro mesi (5 maggio 2025) dal mio ultimo post su (Holozing).
Non pubblico contenuti frequentemente sul mio Hive blog perchè il gioco è in fase di sviluppo e non potendo ancora giocare ho poche informazioni e calcoli utili da scrivere.
Anche se Holozing non è un argomento ricorrente sul mio Hive blog sono sempre molto interessato a questo progetto per diversi motivi:

l'idea alla base del gioco mi piace e non ci sono giochi di questa tipologia su Hive
il fondatore del gioco è un Hiver con un'ottima reputazione su Hive

Personalmente ho apprezzato molto cosa ha scritto il fondatore @acidyo in questo post Influencer shilling & some zing thoughts che ti riassumo nei seguenti punti:

niente pagamenti a influencer o shilling artificiale.
niente token stampati dal nulla per marketing o partnership.
nessuna vendita del progetto.
nessun abbandono del progetto: continuerà a portarlo avanti anche nei momenti difficili.

Queste affermazioni del fondatore di Holozing rafforzano ancora di più la mia fiducia in questo progetto.

Nell'attuale fase di sviluppo di Holozing gli assets acquistabili e vendibili sono due:

i ZING tokens (i token nativi di Holozing che avranno molti casi d'uso in-game.
gli Alpha Vials = gli starter packs di Holozing che al momento non sono apribili e conterranno quasi tutto il necessario per giocare (tranne gli Healers).

Le modalità di distribuzione dei token ZING sono cambiate con il passare del tempo.
Attualmente vengono distribuiti 800K ZING al giorno:

Nella sezione Rewards di Holozing è possibile vedere gli APR dei metodi di distribuzione dei token ZING tranne per gli Alpha Vials e gli Achievements.

Per questo motivo, esattamente come ho fatto nei miei precedenti post, anche oggi ho calcolato per 1 Alpha Vials acquistato:

il guadagno giornaliero in ZING, in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari
l'APR in base al valore di mercato (Highest Bid) del token ZING
il calcolo del tempo necessario per raggiungere il punto di pareggio
l'APR e il punto di pareggio in base a valori di mercato del token ZING diversi da quello attuale.

Le variazioni nell'intervallo di tempo 5 maggio 2025 - 13 settembre 2025 (131 giorni) sono:

La distribuzione attuale di 495K ZING al giorno calcolata in base agli Alpha Vials venduti è temporanea perchè quando sarà possibile aprire gli Alpha Vials la distribuzione dei token ZING si baserà solo sugli elementi contenuti negli Alpha Vials in base alla loro rarità.

La mia strategia di investimento su Holozing

Riguardo il mio investimento su Holozing io ho:

8 Alpha Vials
4 Achievements
23K ZING staked
202982 ZING in the pool ZING:SWAP.HIVE
153.5 Holo Dust

La mia strategia attuale è molto focalizzata sulla liquidity pool ZING:SWAP.HIVE:

periodicamente faccio l'unstaking dei miei ZING staked
converto il 50% dei miei ZING liquidi in SWAP.HIVE
aggiungo la parte restante dei mie ZING liquidi e gli SWAP.HIVE che ho ricevuto prima nella pool ZING:SWAP.HIVE

Ho scelto questa strategia perchè è una strategia prudente ma non troppo:

convertire la metà dei ZING in SWAP.HIVE mi protegge dai cali forti del token ZING
quando ZING scende di valore accumulo più ZING ed essendo interessato al progetto è un effetto che mi va bene anche se perdo qualcosa per effetto dell'impermanent loss
le reward giornaliere in ZING token aiutano a compensare l’impermanent loss
l'APR è interessante ed è molto superiore rispetto allo staking e alle delegazioni in HP.

In sintesi la mia strategia non massimizza il guadagno ma riduce il rischio e posso rimanere esposto a ZING in modo più gestibile.

Nello scenario pegggiore = se ZING dovesse andare a 0, sarei in perdita perché gli arbitraggi svuoterebbero la parte in SWAP.HIVE e rimarrebbero solo ZING di valore 0 ma in caso di ribassi graduali sarei più protetto per effetto delle fee e delle ricompense in ZING che compensano una parte delle perdite.
