I'm delighted to be on Hive. Given past history, I was skeptical that the Steem community would come together and make it happen - there were several opportunities to do so in the past, after all. But it has happened, a huge thank you and mad respect to all witnesses and community members for making this happen. Hive now has the best chance to become the first fork in crypto history that eclipses the original.
I was one of the most active users of Steem in late 2016. Things started heading downhill in 2017, and by 2018, I had become an inactive user who would show up once in a while to complain about sorry state of things. That's a half jest, as I did continue contributing in some ways, but either way, I was no longer the same very active Steemian I was in 2016.
Today, I'm intrigued again. To be clear, the broken protocols are still the same, and still need to be fixed, so it's not like Hive is a better platform overnight - it's not. But for old time's sake, I intend to be blog somewhat actively, and of course, continue curating.
