Just like typical scenarios in the office, there are times I can't go home on time. My work was supposed to end at five in the afternoon, but since I had some rush, I left the office at a quarter to six. While preparing my things, I remembered that it was already rush hour, so it would be hard to catch a ride, aside from traffic. So I decided to better walk going to our dorm.
The estimated time travel is 34 minutes based on Google, but it depends on pace.

As I walked to the elevator, the hallway was quiet; all I could hear were my footsteps, unlike when I go out with my officemate. I wasn't surprised when I only saw two people waiting.
At least that makes us three.
I didn't wait for too long as there is no longer elevator traffic. Also there is no longer restriction in number of passengers allowed due to social distancing.
When I stepped out from the building, I saw this small fountain in the entrance. I could not help but to reminisced the past years ago when it was my first time seeing it. As someone who grew up in the countryside seeing a fountain that with different colors was a big deal. I was so amazed to the point I even told my officemate to take some photos of me. It is only after months of staying here I realized that I was so naive back then.
Few more walks and I saw some of the workers being fetch by their love ones. I smiled seeing them. I find it sweet gesture. That was also one of the things I love when my husband is here. Who wouldn't be happy if you saw the love of your life waiting the moment to go out from work? it seems like all the tiredness were gone. How I wish his here to fetch me too.
I also noticed that plants planted on that building are growing healthy. Maybe because frequent rain. I don't know where this idea came from but I saw several with this design. I even thought at first that it was just a plastic plants.
As expected, there was already mild traffic, and just like me, several people also chose to walk. What was great here in this area is there is a space to walk, and trees shaded it. Considering that Pasig (my workplace) was also a center of business, the local government was able to campaign " Green Pasig or Green City."
That explains why there are still a lot of trees around.
There were several routes going home in our dorm, yet I chose to pass by the overpass. For some health reasons, it can be considered a breathing exercise too. Climbing those stairs and going up. On both sides, there are plants planted. It seems they were taken care of well, as they all look healthy.
Though I was alone walking, I didn't get bored as I enjoyed watching around and taking some photos too. Oh, this overpass didn't reach our dorm. I still need to go down and walk beside the coastal road. Yet before I went down, I accidentally turned left and saw Jollibee waving at me. I mean, not literally, but the thinking of chicken joy and spaghetti makes my tummy crave it. I was so tempted to cross once I got down.
Thankful I got the courage to resist as I am not supposed to eat chicken.
So I just go straight going home.
With God's guidance I arrived safety.
That's how my day ended outside.
Thanks for dropping by.
