A Happy World In your mind, imagine the picture of a society where every individual is satisfied and content in all things; no such thing as a desire for more that is offered to others, no greed or any jealous toward other for the sake of acquiring a large wealth; everyone lived happy and peacefully, all people sharing resources, respecting all humanity and focusing their work on happiness rather than racing over one another to take over a land or a commodity. It seems to you at first sight the ultimate world ever existing, of no more conflicts, crimes, greed, etc.. None except happiness.
A true Utopia seems to consist only of happiness for all mankind!
A world without all this greeds may end many humanity's problems, for example. Little cause for war and nothing of the conflicts that nations may confront toward resources or territories. No room for bribes or for selfish individuals as every one cares about helping others. Families become happy and strong to one another, no individual will go through frustration or disappointment because no one is comparing him to others in order to fulfill and chase happiness from riches, luxury, etc.
The question here arises whether innovation and progress shall take place so rapidly?
History proved this! Due to many human problems or needs, and the fight for betterment, some great discoveries took shape and many innovations arose, as I mean here the ability for communications, as far as technology is concrerned; medicine as it relates to human's needs and struggle for survival; etc... Competition often leads to discovery, due to some individuals or nations trying to compete each other at some fields, which resulted in progress and advancement; while on the other hand, this is not always true, for curiosity may pave the way of innovation as well.
It's a matter of motivation that is why a happy Utopia could pursue innovation without the same pressure that exists within a greedy society. Scientists would research not for the wealth or position in society, not for the purpose of power or to beat rivals, but with pure and sincere curiosity to alleviate suffering or make life on earth, or even in space, easier, happier, and richer with possibilities, and not a poorer and more impoverished society. There can be slow or gradual and much better innovations, and people would innovate not with the hope of taking over and dominate but by the simple will to satisfy a real need.
The greatest achievements not arise always from conflict, and a happy utopia can reach the same levels as any of these societies that knew no mercy, but rather from peoples’ willing creativity and their love for the greater well being of humanity.
