Getting ready for my upcoming leisure trip to Cambodia and Vietnam It all started since 2016 that I’m traveling abroad to countries outside my home for holidays, for recreation or whatever reasons called “leisure”. And since then, that’s how I rewarded myself, how I manage to rest after long months of grinding hard, and of how I’m able to create new memories of what my eyes has witness. I’m looking forward for my trip to Cambodia & Vietnam, leisure that will surely be enjoyable and relaxing time.
Though I have done this trip couple of times, I always prepare beforehand to ensure that I will get a hassle-free and unforgettable trip.
First, is to make sure that my Passport is valid and have to list all the necessary documents such as plane tickets, hotel reservation, travel itinerary, COE(Certificate of Employment), company ID, return ticket and to bring both of my printed and digital copy for security purposes. In packing, I make sure to bring light comfy clothes since it’s both countries have warm tropical season. So for this, my bag consists of T-Shirts, blouses, dresses, shorts, jeans and comfier pair of shoes for walking. Also, included is my light jacket, some of my toiletries, skincare products, make up, feminine care items, medicines and some electronic devices like my power bank, phone charger and a travel adapter.
I made an effort not to over-pack since travelling with just a heavy luggage makes me feel too lazy to move around.
For my travel itinerary, I listed some places that I’ll be visiting like historical sites, old churches/temples, museum, food trip to some local spots/markets and other tourist spots. I do not however make the whole travel itinerary for days because I wanted to have time to relax and enjoy while there. Since I will be abroad for some time, I always prepare my budget by bringing enough cash with me, a debit and or credit cards and some local currency for smaller expenses.
I double-check the airlines baggage allowance and always arrive the airport earlier. For me, travelling not just for leisure but travelling in general always reminds me why I’ve been working so hard and that it’s just a part of the things that you earn once in a while to make yourself more productive, healthier and refreshed before going back to your usual life. That with meticulous preparations, Cambodia and Vietnam trip will be worthwhile.
