Another interesting thing about this microscope is the fact that it uses many lenses for identification of different parasites. However, each lense has its own specific function and use at a particular time. Part of the lenses it has are the occular or widefield lense of either X10 or X18 widefield or occular lense which is the lense one sees through the microscope with the naked eye. Without the occular or widefield lense you cannot view anything. But it's so amazing that technology today has developed many different types of Microscope in used now that one doesn't have to stress his/her eyes that much by looking into the occular or widefield lense to identify any parasites or bacteria. Some Microscope have a Bluetooth device that can be connected and view the parasites or bacteria through a flat screen TV for easy identification which helps alot to assist those suffering from Myopia (Short sightedness or Near sightedness) and is a also a disadvantage to those suffering from Hyperopia (Long or Far Sightedness) again.
Other part of the lenses of the microscope again are the objective lens of either X4, X10, X20, X40 and X100 depending on the type of equipment you're using some might have up to five or less objective lens. And one of the uses of these objective lens is to also help in the identification of different bacteria and parasites of Medical importance. These objective lens are also known as Oil Immersion Objective Lens and each has its own specific function and use. For example, only specimens or samples of wet preparation such as urine, swabs and stool samples can be used using X20 or X40 oil Immersion Objective Lens and samples such as blood, grams stain, AFB and the rest can be used to view different parasites. These oil Immersion Objective Lens cannot be used interchangeable or vice versa each must be used accordingly or else you won't get an accurate desired result and we always stand for Accuracy and Precision. I like this X100 objective lens the most because it can be used to view and identify viruses such as Corona-Virus (COVID-19), Ebola Virus, Lassa fever and many uncountable types of viruses.
Note that only oil Immersion Objective Lens of X100 uses Immersion Oil but they rest do not. Hahaha 馃槀馃槀 I know you must be confused right? But do not worry it's simple and there's nothing to be confused about. The objective lens are called oil Immersion Objective Lens and the oil that is being used itself on a glass slide is known as Immersion oil . Without this Immersion oil you can't see anything. It serves as window or mirror for you to see anything you want to see or view.
