If you’re anything like me, you’ll take all of the help you can get to look good in one. Believe it or not, this DIY salt scrub is one of the tricks I keep up my sleeve [until now] to do just that. The caffeine [in the coffee] is a natural antioxidant, while it possesses cellulite-reducing properties, too. The coarse salt, meanwhile, buffs and removes dead skin cells. Mixed with coconut oil, the scrub will leave your body feeling silky smooth. Slathering yourself in it – as I am apt to do – certainly won’t replace a trip to the gym, but in the very least, the java scent may give you enough energy to get there!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 Cup Ground Coffee

1/2 Cup Coarse Salt (I use Himalayan Pink Salt from Mountain Rose Herbs)

1/4 Cup Coconut Oil, Melted & Slightly Cooled

1 Orange, Zested (Optional)

5-10 Drops Orange Essential Oil (Optional)

DIRECTIONS

Mix all of the scrub ingredients in a bowl. Transfer to, and store in an airtight container; this mixture makes approximately 12 ounces of scrub.
