Ok, so I have reached my limit for posts on where I have been, so now I thought I would share with you where I would like to go!! First up is...
Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife.
I have ALWAYS wanted to see the Victoria Falls, being one of the 7 natural wonders of the world! Victoria Falls (also described as 'The Smoke that Thunders') is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Just look at how magnificant it is!! 😍 AND you can even go on a helicopter tour!! AmaZING! I think my heart just melted a little!

I know of a couple of people that also went to Kariba, and WOW is all I can find to say. It looks astonishing. The Kariba Dam to be precise, I just have to show you!! (Unfortunately I didn't take the photos myself as I can't remember if I've mentioned, but I haven't actually been myself... hahaha!
The Kariba Dam is a double curvature concrete arch dam in the Kariba Gorge of the Zambezi river basin between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The dam stands 128 metres (420 ft) tall and 579 metres (1,900 ft) long. The dam forms Lake Kariba which extends for 280 kilometres (170 mi) and holds 185 cubic kilometres (150,000,000 acre⋅ft) of water.
Eish!! As they say in South Africa at least!

Lake Kariba is the world's largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume. It lies 1300 kilometres upstream from the Indian Ocean, along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Lake Kariba was filled between 1958 and 1963 following the completion of the Kariba Dam at its northeastern end, flooding the Kariba Gorge on the Zambezi River.
Sailing along the Zambezi river, soaking up the sun and having these breathtaking views...

At one stage I was seriously close to making arrangements to going and came across this fantastic little gem...
Kariba Ferries

Do click here for info on kariba ferries it's definitely something that interests me. It saves those long drives (you can even put your car on the ferry so you still have the option of driving once docked if you so wish!) and adds to the magic of the trip!!

The Chinhoyi Caves

The Chinhoyi Caves (previously the Sinoia Caves) are a group of limestone and dolomite caves in north central Zimbabwe. Since 1955 they are designated as a National Park and managed by the Zimbabwe Parks & Wildlife Management Authority.
These caves are to die for! They look spectacular and is definitely somewhere I would visit, or should I say WILL visit!! 😉
