an individual is also part of the community, no?
i think it is admirable for individuals to start projects and Hive offers a platform and a set of tools for building. a successful project from an individual is encouraging to others, it might inspire future projects, even team/tribe based tasks.
i don't really see any downside, unless there is some sneaky vote manipulation or something happening. but an engaged community can often discover such problems and set them straight.
