Living in the city, you get to visit the important places very often. It was again time for me to visit this UNESCO enlisted heritage site. I had to visit one of my friends who had an office over there to take some files. Reaching there I think it would be a bad idea without stepping a foot inside this old Durbar square. As usual, the old palace was crowded even in weekdays many people taking shelter inside the temple.
This is the entrance to the museum where traditional arts of Nepal are kept and preserved. One should get a ticket to enter inside. Two giants statues of lion made out of stone and clay is placed in front of the entrance.
This Durbar square is probably one of the best place to see ancient Nepal arts and sculpture along with the traditional life during that period and. And not to mention this was where Doctor Strange movie's shooting took place.
