Amsterdam is a city of compact size but it has many different aspects and offers. For me personally this city is a symbol of freedom and free will. People are so confident but not arrogant here. Amsterdam is home to some of the world’s finest art galleries. My destination is Van Gogh Museum. Cyclists, canals, pretty houses, bustling markets, so much to see and do.
The city was founded, as you can guess, as a small fishing village. The territory was marshy at the mouth of the Amstel river, but the place was nice and attracted people. Almost since first day of new settlement the waters around the village were controlled by a system of dykes and polders. Very soon this town became the chief trading city of northern Europe...
That's like the story starts... I am eager to start exploring...
