Soy una psicóloga apasionada y, hasta hace unos años, no me veía como madre. Pero la vida tenía otros planes para mí, y aquí estoy, compartiendo mi historia con ustedes.
Hello everyone. I want to share with you my experience as a mother, an unexpected journey full of changes, challenges and blessings that have transformed my life in ways I never imagined. I am a passionate psychologist and, until a few years ago, I did not see myself as a mother. But life had other plans for me, and here I am, sharing my story with you.
Cuando descubrí que estaba embarazada, confieso que pasaron tantos pensamientos por mi cabeza. No estábamos buscando un hijo en ese momento, y nuestras condiciones económicas no eran las mejores. Pensé que no estábamos preparados para ser padres, que tal vez deberíamos esperar un poco más. Sin embargo, la vida tiene formas sorprendentes de cambiar nuestros planes.
El nacimiento de nuestra pequeña niña marcó un antes y un después en nuestras vidas. Mi marido tenía planes de viajar a Estados Unidos para estar con sus padres, pero debido a la llegada de nuestra hija, ese viaje se canceló. Esto nos hizo reevaluar nuestras prioridades y tomar decisiones que se alinearan con esta nueva etapa de nuestras vidas.
When I found out I was pregnant, I confess that so many thoughts went through my head. We were not looking for a child at that time, and our economic conditions were not the best. I thought we weren't ready to be parents, that maybe we should wait a little longer. However, life has surprising ways of changing our plans.
The birth of our little girl marked a before and after in our lives. My husband had plans to travel to the United States to be with his parents, but due to the arrival of our daughter, that trip was cancelled. This made us reevaluate our priorities and make decisions that aligned with this new stage in our lives.
A medida que avanzaba mi embarazo, los temores iniciales se mezclaban con la emoción y la anticipación de convertirme en madre. Comenzamos a prepararnos mental y emocionalmente para la llegada de nuestra hija, ajustando nuestros planes y reorganizando nuestras vidas para darle la bienvenida de la mejor manera posible.
La maternidad me cambió de formas que nunca imaginé. Descubrí una fortaleza en mí que no sabía que existía. Aprendí a priorizar, a administrar mi tiempo de manera más eficiente y a encontrar alegría en las pequeñas cosas. Mi enfoque cambió de manera significativa, ahora dirigido hacia el bienestar de mi hija. Cada logro suyo, cada sonrisa y cada nuevo aprendizaje se convirtieron en mi mayor satisfacción.
As my pregnancy progressed, initial fears were mixed with the excitement and anticipation of becoming a mother. We began preparing mentally and emotionally for the arrival of our daughter, adjusting our plans and rearranging our lives to welcome her in the best way possible.
Motherhood changed me in ways I never imagined. I discovered a strength in me that I never knew existed. I learned to prioritize, to manage my time more efficiently and to find joy in the little things. My focus shifted significantly, now directed toward my daughter's well-being. Her every accomplishment, every smile and every new learning became my greatest satisfaction.
Mi marido también experimentó cambios profundos. La paternidad lo transformó en un hombre más comprometido y dedicado. Verlo cuidar y amar a nuestra hija me hizo enamorarme de él de una manera completamente nueva. Juntos, aprendimos a ser un equipo sólido, apoyándonos mutuamente en los desafíos que la crianza trae consigo.
Ser madre ha sido una experiencia grandiosa, repleta de momentos de felicidad, risas y también de retos que nos han ayudado a crecer como individuos y como familia. A medida que nuestra hija crece, somos testigos de su desarrollo y su personalidad única, lo que nos llena de orgullo y satisfacción.
My husband also experienced profound changes. Fatherhood transformed him into a more committed and dedicated man. Watching him care for and love our daughter made me fall in love with him in a whole new way. Together, we learned to be a strong team, supporting each other through the challenges that parenting brings.
Being a mother has been a great experience, filled with moments of happiness, laughter and also challenges that have helped us grow as individuals and as a family. As our daughter grows, we witness her development and unique personality, which fills us with pride and satisfaction.
En resumen, aunque el camino hacia la maternidad no fue lo que habíamos planeado, ha sido una travesía llena de gratas sorpresas y valiosas lecciones. A través de los altibajos, hemos encontrado una felicidad y un sentido de propósito que nunca hubiéramos experimentado de otra manera. Ser madre me ha hecho descubrir aspectos de mí misma y de mi esposo que nos han enriquecido y nos han unido aún más como familia.
Espero que mi historia pueda inspirar a otros a abrazar los cambios inesperados de la vida y a encontrar belleza en las situaciones que no habíamos planeado. ¡La maternidad ha sido mi mayor aventura y estoy agradecida por cada momento!
In summary, although the road to motherhood was not what we had planned, it has been a journey full of pleasant surprises and valuable lessons. Through the ups and downs, we have found a happiness and sense of purpose that we would never have experienced otherwise. Being a mother has made me discover aspects of myself and my husband that have enriched us and brought us even closer together as a family.
I hope my story can inspire others to embrace life's unexpected changes and find beauty in situations we hadn't planned for. Motherhood has been my greatest adventure and I am grateful for every moment!
