It's a cool day, although midsummer, with a slight drizzle, conducive to spending time on the laptop catching up. Since joining Steemit I've been so keen to become involved and to meet a diverse range of people from all over the world, but time is always against me ... too much to do and when I eventually find time to relax, I'm exhausted and can't think straight. My posts have been odd and all over the place, but then I suppose that's a true reflection of what's happening in my life!

I wonder how many 60ish women are on Steemit? I see many young and exciting girls and guys out there with lots to share, and many middle aged to older men with a lot of technical and crypto related knowledge, but not many older women. Am I looking in the wrong places?
Thing is, I don't feel old and don't look 60, and I'm still very active in the workplace, holding down 2 jobs plus a couple of other endeavours, and now trying to find time to blog as well. But I want to make changes this year. I need time out to travel a bit, especially around my own country. I have close friends and family in various parts of SA and don't get to see them. And I also want to spend more time at home with my husband - he works from home but we pass each other like ships in the night. I have family in the UK, Australia. So I need a plan to improve my financial situation to facilitate these changes.

Some small investments in Bitcoin and Ethereum aren't going to cut it .... I wonder if Steemit could have some impact after a few months? I suppose it's finding the right following and not boring them to death.

I've lived a very full life these past 60 years, there must be loads I could share that could be of interest to a few people out there .... so to the handful of people who are graciously following me at this point, thank you and any advice is welcome.

I have lots to say about faith, relationships, raising children, the problems with mainstream education, control of the masses, food, diet, music, beautiful places in SA that I've visited, dealing with substance abuse, cultural differences, .... the list goes on. But not to be boring ... that is the secret. I have the passion, and if I could record the conversations I have with myself constantly I think it could be a best seller!

So where to from here? Digging my heels in and going for it ... it's up to me, and by the grace of God. Happy Monday!

Cheers! Here's to new beginnings! (My son and I enjoying a very rare drink together a few months ago.)
