Hello Hive Fam!
Next month marks my one year on Hive, and I’m filled with gratitude for this journey. Hive has truly become more than just a platform; it’s a family that has supported me through ups and downs, even when life got tough.
Recently, I powered down part of my Hive Power due to financial struggles. From that, I was able to cash out 200 pesos (two ₱50 bills and one ₱100 bill). It may look small, but for me, it’s a big help, easing debts with friends who supported me during my recovery and covered some of my medications. It will take 13 weeks for all Hive that I powered down to reflect on my account. I just tried transferring the first week with 77 Hive to my Gate account.
And of course, this milestone wouldn’t be complete without the special participation of my fur baby, Cardo the Chow Chow, who happily posed with the Philippine paper money.
As I’ve shared before, I got sick and my doctor advised me to lessen screen time. That’s why I wasn’t active on Hive for almost a month. It was tough to pause my gigs and blogging, but I knew I needed to prioritize healing. Now, I’m slowly getting back to my usual Hive life, and I’m excited to continue creating content again.
At first, I didn’t know how to cash out Hive. I researched, applied, and finally figured out the process: transferring every ₱100 worth of Hive to my Gate account, then exchanging it with a merchant. It felt empowering to learn something new in Web3 and succeed without shortcuts.
This is my first ever cash out done properly, and it reminded me that even small steps can lead to big victories.
When I joined Hive, I wasn’t focused on earnings. If I wanted pure income, I could have stayed as a Facebook content creator. But that life felt toxic; restrictions on my posts about politics and religion made me feel silenced. Hive gave me the freedom to express myself, to blog about what I love, and to learn about crypto along the way.
Most importantly, Hive gave me friends all over the world. Even if we don’t see each other personally, I feel the love and support of this family.
This 200 pesos may be small, but it represents resilience, learning, and gratitude. Thank you, Hive Fam, for being part of my journey. I’m excited to continue blogging, sharing, and growing with all of you as I celebrate my first year here.
