Reflections on a Busy Day: Grilled Tulingan, Laundry Loads, and Simple Joys

Today was one of those days where chores seemed endless, yet I still found a way to enjoy a comforting meal. With a mountain of clothes to wash, rugs included, I knew I needed something simple but satisfying for my lunch and dinner.
I bought two pieces of tulingan (I鈥檓 not sure of its English name, but it鈥檚 a staple fish here in the Philippines) from the rolling store that passed by. Before diving into my laundry marathon, I grilled them to perfection. The smoky aroma filled the air, and I couldn鈥檛 help but feel grateful for this humble dish that kept me energized throughout the day.
Balancing household tasks with good food is always a reminder that even in the busiest moments, we can pause and savor life鈥檚 simple joys. Grilled tulingan may be ordinary, but today it felt like a reward after tackling piles of laundry.
